Here is a great quote from Confuscious i once blogged with regards to a while ago - “he who who says he can and that he who says he can’t are both usually right”.
This quote is about the forgotten power of self belief and confidence.
self belief and confidence
Whilst certainly not self belief and confidence will be the only thing which get you to where you desire to be in everyday life, it certainly does help like a foundation to other positive beliefs that self belief and confidencehelp you progress forward.
Allow me to provide you with an illustration.
With regards to a year ago I was playing ten-pin bowling using the staff from my workplace.
I was doing absolutely terrible.
Whenever it had been my consider bowl, I either had a gutterball or I might hit just one or two pins.
That’s how bad I was doing.
I used to be the laughing stock of everyone I was having fun with.
Hell, I used to be even poking fun at myself.
But then I ultimately got tired of this laughter enough where I said inside “I’m planning to win the bingo, despite the fact that I am way behind everyone else in the game”.
That instant change in attitude paid off.
The people who were around were amazed.
I started beating others by no more the sport I had been in second place.
I had been then congratulated
I carried that winning attitude beside me to the next game and, consequently, I had been the winner.
I don’t mean to brag but amazing exactly what a alteration of attitude are capable of doing, eh?
Here is another illustration of how powerful of a tool self belief and confidence is really.
I went along to a singing seminar that was taught by Edwin Coppard, the voice coach of Anthony Robbins, T. Harv Eker as well as other well-known names.
During his seminar, he asked what percentage of us considered that we sucked at singing.
Many people within the room, especially myself, raised their hands.
I most certainly felt this way because my voice was husky, I didn’t have sufficient range, I would easily exhaust breath etc and so on.
Then asked everyone in the seminar to get up and, like a group, sing music together.
We sang this song and that we sang our hearts out so that as I had been this, out came this powerful singing voice of mine that I had never heard about before.
This was also the case with a lot of others within the room.
Mr. Coppard then declared we B.S.ed ourselves into thinking we had been bad singers because he heard the power that lied within everyone’s voices.self belief and confidence
Consequently I stumbled upon that most likely you will be an excellent singer by simply believing in yourself rather than worry about the other people might think concerning your voice.
Obviously there is such thing as vocal and breathing exercises and whatnot but that’s another story.
The purpose I will be hoping to get at here is the power of self belief and confidence is important if you want to really really flourish in life.
While i happen to be taught at seminars “success is 80% attitude and 20% aptitude”.
It does make sense.
For example, I’ve even been told by people who they reckon that I’ll be a total success.
This is all simply because they saw my positive attitude.
In the end, do you consider people would still feel the exact same way who had the attitude of someone who thought “I wanna’ do that which in your life and see generate an income go. Hopefully I can ensure it is but when not then I guess that’s just bad luck for me because many people can’t succeed in life”?
Would you think people might have faith in individuals with a wishy-washy attitude?
Of course not because why are they going to believe in someone who doesn’t have confidence in themselves?
If you think maybe that you could possibly get to in places you wish to be in everyday life, you will.
As I said, self belief and confidence isn’t the be all and end all.
After all you can’t succeed constantly just by only believing in yourself.
But if you at least had that winning attitude as a foundation along with other positive attitudes which help you move forward in life, this will require you a long distance.
So overlook the negative and unsupportive stuff other folks might say about you.
Should you start believing in yourself and see ways you can get there, you will then be fine.
It could take some learning from mistakes but have faith and, should you, you will get there.
Self belief and Confidence
In other words T. Harv Eker “don’t get ready, then aim and fire. Prepare yourself, fire then aim”.
